Breast Implant Reconstruction Gallery

About this patient
This 51-year-old woman from Phoenix, AZ opted for bilateral mastectomy for treatment of her breast cancer. Following her mastectomies, she underwent immediate tissue expander breast reconstruction, which would give her the least downtime so that she ca return to family and work earliest. At the second stage of her reconstruction, her tissue expanders were exchanged for bilateral cohesive, silicone, cohesive "gummy bear” implants. Postoperative photos at 7 months show excellent size, shape, and contour of her reconstructed breasts with these implants. She had minimal pain and no change in mobility or strength following this procedure and is very happy with her results.
