You’re getting microdermabrasion to achieve an even, bright skin tone, reduce pigmentation concerns, and look younger and more refreshed. This minimally invasive procedure provides all of this and more to resolve various skin issues and provide rejuvenation.

After a steam treatment to open the pores, a small, handheld device is run across the treatment area to remove dull, damaged skin and reveal the fresh, healthy skin beneath. Afterward, extraction is performed to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads. An exfoliant follows this and a customized mask or toner is to enhance results.

Microdermabrasion is a proven, effective treatment–but how can you get the best results from it?

Prepare ahead of time

Starting a few weeks before your treatment, do not wax the skin in the treatment area. Stay out of the sun and do not go to a tanning bed during this preparation period.

On the day of your microdermabrasion treatment, wash your face and neck or other treatment areas with a non-oily cleanser.

During your consultation, ensure your treatment schedule is right for you

Microdermabrasion is not a permanent treatment. While every treatment is customized for you according to the specific needs of your skin and your aesthetic goals, the beautiful results won’t last longer than a month.

Human skin regenerates about every 30 days. To get the most out of your microdermabrasion treatments, they should be repeated in intervals at the right schedule and suits your needs. For most patients, ideally, microdermabrasion treatments can be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks to achieve continual improvements.

Multiple treatments, between 6-12 sessions are recommended to result in the most significant enhancements.

Treat your skin right after microdermabrasion

After your treatment, we will clean your face with a wet cloth and hydrating toner. This helps to remove any dead skin cells that may have been left behind. We will dry your skin thoroughly, and apply a rich, nourishing moisturizer. As a part of ensuring you get the best results from your microdermabrasion treatments, follow these aftercare tips:

  • Continue to use this moisturizer for 4-6 days to help prevent any excessive peeling as your skin renews itself
  • For the first day after your microdermabrasion, do not do anything that raises your body temperature, including a hot shower, sauna treatment or steam rooms, and heavy exercise
  • Stay out of the sun for several days, and use sunscreen until the healing process is complete
