Dr. Lewis Albert Andres Education and bio

A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Lewis Albert Andres specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, body, and breasts. His diverse experience has brought state-of-the-art techniques in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery to the Greater Phoenix/Scottsdale metropolitan area since 2008.

Dr. Andres matriculated from Columbia University, culminating as a candidate for the Rhodes Scholarship. He earned his graduate and medical school education and training from Harvard University/Medical School and Michigan State University, all with the highest honors. He is one of the few students accepted into a competitive integrated Plastic Surgery residency directly from medical school and completed this at the Grand Rapids/Michigan State program. With his deep interest in cancer and breast reconstruction surgery, he then pursued additional fellowship training in microsurgery, complex reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He has become a premier plastic and reconstructive surgeon from all of his diverse training and is an expert in microsurgical perforator flap reconstruction as well as cosmetic surgery.

Throughout his extensive education and training, Dr. Andres has garnered numerous accolades for his academic and surgical successes. He is well-published in several medical journals and has presented at several national and international conferences. He holds the titles of Chief of Plastic Surgery and Assistant Clinical Professor. A former All-American wrestler, he truly enjoys his positions as a team physician for Team USA as well as university and national wrestling teams, combat sports clubs, and others. Yet, one of his deepest passions is in medical charity work, volunteering several times per year on international surgical missions, including cleft lips and palate surgeries, and has been honored with fellowships with Operation Smile.

With the ultimate goal of providing the newest and most innovative procedures, Dr. Andres is dedicated to providing patients with personal care, competence, and compassion, while producing optimal results. He is committed to individualizing each patient and discussing all options available while helping each patient decide which option is best for them.
