About this patient

This 43-year-old woman from Scottsdale, AZ opted for bilateral breast reconstruction following her mastectomy. She wished to be a little larger than prior to her surgery and chose to undergo tissue expander breast reconstruction. After adequate expansion via weekly expansion of the device, she had her second stage of the procedure performed with silicone gel, round implants in the submuscular position and acellular dermal matrix. After photos at 2 years demonstrate an excellent shape to her reconstructed breasts along with appropriate size to fit her body habitus. She is very happy with her reconstructed breasts with very minimal, if any, complaints throughout the reconstructive process. She stated that she has increased confidence and a feeling of wholeness after her initial diagnosis.

A MESSAGE FROM ANDRES PLASTIC SURGERY CONCERNING COVID-19

Our offices are open for urgent and post-op/non-symptomatic patients only. However, the staff is available per our usual hours for any email, telephone, or video inquiries. We have made virtual consultations available via Telemed for all elective procedures and routine care, which you can schedule at the link below. Elective surgery appointments will be scheduled beginning May 1st in Maricopa County.

We are open for all patient care and have in person as well as virtual/telemedicine visits available. However, we ask that any visitors remain outside the building, with only the patient allowed in the building at this time. A mask covering the mouth and nose is required at all times while in the building. Please call the office to reschedule your visit if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID such as, fever, shortness of breath, cough and/or loss of taste or smell. Staff is available during our usual business hours for any questions, concerns or inquiries. If you have an urgent need after hours please call the office at (480) 275-7800 and the provider on call will assist you.
